Terms of service
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service apply to the use of this website and to purchases made from Deeds Cardhouse Ltd through our online store.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights.
1. Seller information
This website is operated by Deeds Cardhouse Ltd.
Business name: Deeds Cardhouse Ltd
Business type: Limited company registered in England and Wales
Company number: 16167503
Email: info@deedscardhouse.com
Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Deeds Cardhouse Ltd. “You” and “customer” refer to the person using the website or placing an order.
2. About Deeds Cardhouse Ltd
Deeds Cardhouse Ltd sells trading-card accessories, storage products, display products, protective products, collectible-related products, and other related goods.
Our products may include, but are not limited to, card sleeves, toploaders, acrylic cases, binders, storage accessories, graded slab accessories, sealed accessories, and other trading-card-related products.
3. Use of this website
You agree to use this website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not use this website:
- for fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or unlawful purposes;
- to interfere with the security or operation of the website;
- to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, customer accounts, payment systems, or data;
- to copy, scrape, reproduce, or misuse our content without permission;
- to place orders using false, incomplete, or unauthorised information;
- to abuse discounts, promotions, returns, refunds, or customer service processes.
We reserve the right to restrict, cancel, refuse, or report activity that appears fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or in bad faith.
4. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, measurements, specifications, compatibility information, quantities, prices, and availability are accurate.
Product images are provided to help show the item being sold. Minor differences in colour, shade, finish, size, packaging, print, texture, or appearance may occur due to lighting, photography, screen settings, supplier updates, manufacturing variation, or packaging changes.
Measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise.
Any trading cards, graded cards, slabs, boxes, packs, binders, accessories, or display items shown for scale, demonstration, photography, or lifestyle purposes are not included unless the product page specifically says they are included.
You are responsible for reading the full product description, title, images, size information, compatibility notes, delivery information, and return information before placing an order.
5. Product suitability
You are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for your intended use before ordering.
This includes checking size, quantity, thickness, compatibility, intended use, storage requirements, display requirements, and whether the product is suitable for your specific cards, slabs, packs, boxes, binders, or collectibles.
If you are unsure whether a product is suitable, please contact us before ordering.
Buyer preference, buyer regret, ordering the wrong size, ordering the wrong item, dislike of the item, market value changes, or a change in collecting priorities do not make an item faulty or not as described.
6. Orders
An order is placed when you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation.
An order confirmation does not mean we have accepted the order if there is a stock issue, pricing error, listing error, fraud concern, delivery issue, payment issue, or other valid reason to refuse or cancel the order.
We reserve the right to cancel, refuse, or limit an order where permitted by law, including where:
- the item is unavailable or out of stock;
- there is an obvious pricing, stock, description, or listing error;
- the delivery address is incomplete, invalid, inaccessible, or unsupported;
- payment is not authorised or is reversed;
- the order is flagged as suspicious, fraudulent, or high risk;
- the buyer requests something we cannot reasonably provide;
- fulfilling the order would breach law, courier restrictions, platform rules, or these Terms;
- there is evidence of abuse, fraud, item switching, false claims, or repeated misuse of our policies.
If we cancel an order before dispatch, we will refund any payment received for that order through the original payment method.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.
Payment must be made through the payment methods available at checkout.
We reserve the right to update prices, promotions, discounts, and availability at any time. Changes will not affect orders already placed unless there has been an obvious error.
We do not accept responsibility for fees charged by your bank, card provider, payment provider, or currency conversion service.
8. VAT, taxes, customs, and import charges
Deeds Cardhouse Ltd is not currently VAT registered unless stated otherwise at checkout, on the invoice, or on the relevant product page.
For UK orders, the price shown at checkout is the price payable, plus any delivery charge shown at checkout.
For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, taxes, courier handling fees, customs clearance charges, or other charges applied by the destination country, unless these are collected at checkout.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, import checks, courier clearance processes, or failure to pay import charges.
9. Promotions, discounts, and offers
Promotions, discounts, voucher codes, bundle offers, multi-buy offers, free items, and special offers are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Discount codes must be used at checkout and cannot usually be applied retrospectively.
Only one discount code may be used per order unless the website states otherwise.
Where an order containing a bundle, promotion, discount, or free item is returned, all relevant items, accessories, bundle components, and free items must also be returned unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If part of a bundle, promotion, or free item is missing, used, damaged, or not returned, we may reduce the refund where permitted by law.
10. Delivery and dispatch
We aim to dispatch orders within the handling time shown at checkout or on the product page.
Delivery estimates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.
Delivery may be affected by courier delays, Royal Mail delays, strikes, weather, customs checks, incorrect address details, failed delivery attempts, peak periods, or events outside our control.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at checkout.
We cannot change delivery addresses after checkout unless this is technically possible, safe to do, and permitted by the payment provider and delivery process.
If an order is returned to us because the address was incorrect, incomplete, inaccessible, refused, not collected, or you were unavailable, we may deduct the original delivery cost, return-to-sender cost, redelivery cost, and any carrier charges from any refund where permitted by law.
11. Risk and delivery issues
Risk in the goods passes to you once the goods are delivered to the address provided at checkout, unless the law states otherwise.
If your order has not arrived, please contact us as soon as possible.
If tracking shows that the parcel has been delivered, we may ask you to check with household members, neighbours, reception areas, parcel lockers, nominated safe places, local delivery offices, or any available delivery photo/GPS information before we investigate with the courier.
If an item is confirmed as lost in transit before delivery, we will resolve the issue in line with your statutory rights.
12. Cancellations, returns, and refunds
Returns, cancellations, and refunds are handled under our separate Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy.
For change-of-mind returns, unwanted items, accidental orders, duplicate orders, buyer-remorse returns, or items ordered in error, you are responsible for return postage unless the law requires otherwise.
We do not reimburse return postage for change-of-mind returns.
Where a valid cancellation is made under UK distance-selling rules, we will refund the item price and the standard outbound delivery cost paid by the customer, where applicable.
If you selected a premium, express, tracked, signed-for, courier, or upgraded delivery service, we will only refund the cost of our standard delivery option.
If the item was sold with free delivery, no separate outbound delivery charge has been paid and no separate outbound delivery refund will apply.
If an item has already been dispatched, we will not normally issue a refund until the item has been returned to us or valid proof of return has been provided, unless the item is confirmed as lost before delivery or the law requires a different outcome.
13. Condition of returned items
Returned items must be unused, undamaged, complete, securely packaged, and in the same condition supplied.
Returned items must include all original packaging, accessories, inserts, bundle components, free items, and parts supplied with the order.
You may inspect an item as you would reasonably be able to do in a shop, but you must not use it, damage it, alter it, contaminate it, remove parts, open sealed products unnecessarily, or handle it beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
We reserve the right to reduce or refuse a refund where permitted by law if a returned item is used, damaged, incomplete, switched, tampered with, contaminated, returned in poor packaging, or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
Where the item has lost value because of unnecessary handling, the deduction may be up to the full value of the item if it can no longer be resold as supplied.
14. Faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not-as-described items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged before delivery, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where the issue is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate remedy in line with your statutory rights. This may include a refund, replacement, repair, return, or another appropriate resolution.
If a return is required because the item is faulty, damaged before delivery, incorrect, or not as described, Deeds Cardhouse Ltd will cover the reasonable return postage cost or provide a return label where required.
Please do not dispose of, alter, repair, use, resell, or further damage the item before the issue has been resolved.
15. Damaged-in-transit claims and evidence
For items reported as damaged in transit, please keep the item, packaging, protective materials, and delivery label until the issue has been resolved.
We may ask for clear photos or video of:
- the damaged item;
- the external packaging;
- the internal packaging and protective materials;
- the delivery label;
- any visible courier damage;
- any missing, cracked, bent, torn, crushed, or affected parts.
This evidence helps us assess the issue and raise a claim with the carrier where required.
If adequate evidence is not provided, we may be unable to verify that the item was damaged in transit or treat the matter as a damaged-in-transit claim.
In that situation, we may ask for the item to be returned to us for inspection before a refund, replacement, partial refund, or return postage reimbursement is agreed.
If the item is not returned, and adequate evidence of damage is not provided, we may be unable to issue a refund, replacement, partial refund, or return postage reimbursement.
We do not issue partial refunds for unsupported damage claims.
16. Condition-sensitive and collectible products
Some products are condition-sensitive, including acrylic cases, binders, sleeves, toploaders, sealed accessories, graded slab accessories, storage products, display products, mystery items, and collectible-related goods.
Where applicable, we may record product details before dispatch, including serial numbers, certificate numbers, labels, condition notes, photos, packing records, parcel weights, and tracking details.
Returned collectible or identifiable items must be the exact same item supplied.
We reserve the right to reduce or refuse a refund where permitted by law if there is evidence of item switching, tampering, missing labels, cracked cases, changed condition, missing components, altered packaging, or any mismatch between the dispatched item and the returned item.
17. Partial refunds
We do not issue partial refunds for unsupported claims.
A partial refund may be offered at our discretion where it is fair and appropriate, or where required by law.
Asking for a partial refund does not automatically mean a partial refund will be given.
For damaged, faulty, incorrect, or not-as-described claims, we may require evidence and/or return of the item before agreeing to a partial refund, replacement, or full refund.
18. Customer accounts
You may be able to create a customer account on our website.
You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure and for all activity carried out through your account.
You must provide accurate and up-to-date account, contact, billing, and delivery information.
We may suspend, restrict, or close an account where there is evidence of fraud, misuse, abuse, suspicious activity, or breach of these Terms.
19. Reviews, comments, and user content
If you submit a review, comment, message, photo, or other content to us or through the website, you agree that the content must be honest, lawful, and not abusive, misleading, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, or infringing of another person’s rights.
We may remove, reject, or report content that breaches these Terms or appears fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or inappropriate.
By submitting content, you give us permission to use, display, reproduce, and share that content for legitimate business purposes, including customer service, website display, marketing, fraud prevention, and dispute handling, unless you tell us otherwise or the law prevents this.
20. Intellectual property
All Deeds Cardhouse branding, logos, product photography, written descriptions, listing templates, policy wording, website content, graphics, designs, and original content remain the property of Deeds Cardhouse Ltd or the relevant rights holder.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, scrape, distribute, sell, or misuse our content without permission, except where allowed by law.
Third-party brand names, trading card names, logos, trademarks, grading company names, and product references may be used to identify compatibility, product type, or item details. They remain the property of their respective owners.
Deeds Cardhouse Ltd is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any trading card company, grading company, marketplace, or brand unless expressly stated.
21. Third-party services and links
Our website may use third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, courier services, analytics tools, marketing tools, review tools, social media platforms, and embedded apps.
We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, policies, outages, errors, accessibility issues, data handling, or content outside our control.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to those providers’ own terms and privacy policies.
22. Privacy and data
We use customer information for legitimate business purposes connected with your order, including processing payment, dispatching orders, customer service, returns, fraud prevention, record keeping, legal compliance, and website operation.
Further details are set out in our separate Privacy Policy.
We do not sell customer personal information.
23. Accessibility
We aim to make our website, product information, policies, and customer service content accessible and easy to use as far as reasonably possible.
Further details are set out in our separate Accessibility Statement.
If you have difficulty accessing information on our website, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
24. Fraud, abuse, and misuse
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, restrict, reduce, dispute, appeal, or report an order, return, refund, claim, account, or communication where permitted by law if there is evidence of:
- fraud;
- item switching;
- tampering;
- false claims;
- unsupported damage claims;
- chargeback abuse;
- misuse of discounts or promotions;
- repeated misuse of returns;
- abusive or threatening communication;
- misleading information;
- activity that appears to be in bad faith.
Where appropriate, suspected fraudulent activity may be reported to the relevant payment provider, courier, marketplace, platform, or authority.
25. Liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, losses caused by buyer error, losses caused by third-party platforms or services outside our control, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory rights.
For consumers, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.
For business buyers, our total liability in connection with an order will not exceed the price paid for that order, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
26. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include courier disruption, postal strikes, severe weather, customs delays, supplier disruption, platform outages, payment provider issues, IT failures, illness, fire, flood, civil disruption, legal restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
If such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
27. Business buyers
Where you are purchasing as a business and not as a consumer, statutory consumer cancellation rights may not apply.
Business-to-business returns are accepted only where required by law or agreed by us in writing.
This does not affect any rights a business buyer may have where an item is faulty, incorrect, or not as described.
28. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
The Terms that apply to your order are the Terms in place at the time you placed the order, unless a change is required by law.
29. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
30. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory legal rights in the country or region where you live.
